People with autism communicate and interact with others and with their environment differently than typical people. At NFAR Talent, we are proponents of the neurodiversity model which says that people with autism are cognitively diverse; they are people who think and process information differently, just like people have different races or gender.

Just as no two people are alike, no two people with autism are the same; that’s why it is said that autism exists on a spectrum with each person with autism affected in different ways and to different degrees. These differences, while posing many challenges, also create unique perspectives and special abilities. That’s why neurodiverse teams are better teams and why many companies are actively recruiting people with autism.
