Changing Lives
One Job at a Time

As one of the first organizations dedicated to improving employment for people with autism, we have seen our candidates thrive in a variety of roles at a variety of companies–from big tech to small mom-and-pops, mid-size manufacturing to warehouse fulfillment. We have some great stories to tell and here are just a few:

Telecommunications giant, Qualcomm, has always been on the forefront of innovation and were aware of the business benefits of including people with autism. Qualcomm approached NFAR Talent to partner in the creation of a neurodiverse hiring program. In 2019, Qualcomm launched the program pilot by hiring six NFAR Talent candidates in 4-month internship roles. The NFAR Talent interns all exceeded the goals and expectations for the pilot and were each offered full-time positions at the completion of their internships. Qualcomm is now partnering with NFAR Talent to scale the program in various departments throughout the company.

The Interns we hired impressed from interview through assignment especially with regards to professionalism and ability to assimilate to a corporate environment. NFAR put any uncertainty to bed quickly for us when we piloted last year. We could not have pulled off the pilot program at Qualcomm without NFAR’s training, guidance, and preparedness of their group.

International software testing company, Qualitest, had an urgent staffing need. NFAR Talent stepped in and helped Qualitest quickly onboard trained staff who were able to be productive and effective from Day 1 on the job. Thanks to NFAR Talent, Qualitest was able to capture that client’s business and afterwards extended full-time employment offers to all of the NFAR Talent-provided testers. What happened the next time Qualitest was in a similar situation?

We were so happy with their [the NFAR Talent candidates] performance that when we needed to hire more testers to meet another deadline for a client, the first call we made was to NFAR Talent.

a large-scale manufacturer in power generation with a strong culture of inclusion. NFAR Talent presented Solar Turbines with the opportunity to create a neurodiverse hiring program. Through the NFAR Talent engagement, Solar Turbines initially hired 4 people in user experience roles. The program was so successful that it was awarded the company’s prestigious President’s Award and Solar Turbines continues to partner with NFAR Talent in an ongoing capacity for candidates in a variety of roles throughout the company.

It was unbelievable. This went from kind of a nice program to ‘we need more people like this helping us solve these issues.
